Trenton Doyle Hancock exhibition: 'Flower Bed II: A Prelude to Damnation'
September 15, 2011 – November 05, 2011
Trenton Doyle Hancock is renowned for his ability to mine popular culture and history, sourcing the content of his ongoing fantastical narrative from comic books, animation, movies, music, biblical stories, surrealism and abstract expressionism. An explosion of color, pattern and text, this limited edition wallpaper is a fictional representation of the conflict between good and evil as depicted by Hancock’s imaginative creatures, the Mounds and the Vegans. His use of neon pigment creates a 3-D effect.
